Dave Cordrey | Resolve Counselling ExeterDave Cordrey is Resolve Counselling, a professional counselling service based in Exeter, Devon. Dave has over fifteen years experience as a counsellor and has attained a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. He is an  accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

He has experience in helping people who are facing all sorts of life's difficulties; helping resolve concerns resulting from such issues as anxiety, bereavement and other losses, childhood experiences, identity confusion, relationship problems, spirituality and work difficulties.

There are a wide range of different counselling approaches, techniques and methods. Resolve Counselling is primarily based on  Person-Centred Counselling.

Person-Centred Counselling

Person-Centred counselling is respectful and positive about every person’s uniqueness and abilities. Everyone has the potential to make sense of who they are, and find purpose and fulfilment. We all have the resources and can develop the skills to move forward – identifying the nature of hindrances, discovering our unique solutions, finding the confidence and power to overcome problems and live in a more satisfying way.

In counselling we work together in this process of self-discovery, solution finding and self development.

The counsellor works to understand, support and encourage also providing information and guidance when helpful.
